Description: As someone who grew up watching SpongeBob as a kid, being part of the team that helped bring the characters to life for a new generation of viewers felt like a full-circle moment.
SpongeBob and Patrick took a break from Bikini Bottom to visit Miami, where they participated in a media day at local CBS, NBC, and Telemundo stations. Their appearances ran on Univision's Despierta America, La Voz de la Manana, En Casa con Telemundo, Revoltillo Digital, and South Florida Live. They stopped by two screenings while in town, an advance screening hosted by on-air personality Alan Tacher, of Univison's Despierta America, and another for the Miami Dolphins charity foundation with star player Jack Jones.
Critically, they supported the films collaboration with Burger King, by having a presence at the Miami Burger King pop-up over a two day period. Thousands of fans of SpongeBob and Patrick had the opportunity to meet the characters in person and try the new Burger King SpongeBob Squarepants Movie Meal. Influencers supplemented the pop-up, sharing the experience on their socials, and contributing the overall 9.3 million in reach the campaign garnered.
